LIMONLU HASHASLI KEK

Tarif icin sevgili Zeynep'e cok tesekkur ediyorum. Tarifi ingilizce bir kitapdan aldigi icin hem ingilizce hem de Turkce tarifini ekliyorum.

Malzeme: 1/2 kap hashas tohumu, 1/2 kap sut (oda sicakliginda), 3 kap un, 2,5 cay kasigi kabartma tozu, 1/4 cay kasigi tuz, 1+1/4 kap tuzsuz margarin (oda sicakliginda), 1+3/4 kap seker, 4 yumurta (oda sicakliginda), 1 yemek kasigi portakal kabugu, 2 cay kasigi vanilya, 1 yemek kasigi taze limon suyu, 1 cay kasigi limon kabugu.

Yapilisi:
Firini 325 F'ye isitin.
Cukur bir kapda unu, kabartma tozunu ve tuzu karistirip, kenara alin.
Baska bir kapda margarini ve sekeri karistirin. Teker teker yumurtalari ekleyip, karistirin.
Limon suyu, limon kabugunu, portakal kabugunu, vanilyayi ve hashas tohumlarini ekleyip, karistirin.
Daha sonra unla ve sonra sutle karistirin.
Yaglanmis kek kalibina dokun.
50-60 dakika pisirin ve kurdanla kekin pisip pismedigini kontrol edin.
Kek piserken firinin kapagini acmayin.
Pisen keki 15 dakika sogumasini bekledikten sonra kalibtan cikarin.


Lemon Poppy Seed Cake
½ cup poppy seeds
1/2 cup milk, room temperature
3 cups cake flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon lemon extract (fresh lemon is better)
1 teaspoon of lemon zest

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter until smooth, gradually stir in sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in lemon zest, lemon extract,vanilla extract, and poppy seed mixture. Stir in flour mixture and milk at the beginning and ending with flour. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes on a wire rack; remove from pan and invert onto a cake plate.
